This is a 2 part Singles competitive format.
part 1: the Live Sorting Rounds
- This is a Singles Event where each player will compete in (4) rally-scoring Sorting games to 15 to determine their flight.[Sorting] is determined by a total points earned (winsX2) plus Game Scoring Differential (GSD see below).
part 2: the Finals Bracket
- This is a single elimination bracket where each game is played to 15 points in a Standard-Scoring format, within each flight.
*this is a Pay to Play event with a portion of the fees going towards funding the Texas JR Racquetball Team C/O Sandy Long.
Q: How is the seeding in the bracket determined?
A: Seeding is determined by a summed Scoring Value for each sorting round played.
Examples:
A Rally Scoring Game played to 15 points scenario:
You win the game, 15 | 0:
Game Won 15X2 plus GSD* (1.00 for zero points given up of 15 total combined points scored.)
Your Awarded Soring Value = 31 (15x2 + 1.00)
Opponent's Awarded Scoring Value = 0
You lost by 1 point, 14 | 15:
Game Lost = 14 + plus GSD* ( .483 for points given up of 29 total points scored) i.e. Winner's GSD (.517) Loser's GSD (.483)
Your Awarded Scoring Value = 14 (14.483)
Opponent's Awarded Scoring Value = 31 (30.517)
Each player's Scoring Values are summed over each game played in the Sorting Rounds and then sorted in the pool of players for the next sorting round.
*GSD is the Game Scoring Differential of a game (i.e. a score of 15 | 7 would be 22 combined point.
Math (15/22=.682 | 7/22=.318)
